Having bought many cars over the years, I've seen many "pushy" salesman that aren't overly interested in anything other than making a sale....regardless of whether its actually what suits you. Essex Car Company are different, totally respectful, and actually take the time to find out exactly what it is that you're after. As for James...top guy! I went into Essex Car Company having seen a Kia Sportage on There web site. I was greeted by a hello and a handshake Pierre introduced himself asked my name and offered me a cup of tea. Being a women looking for a car I was not pressured into buying anything they listened to what i was looking for and my price range,they gave me a good price for my mercedes. Further to my previous review, ECC contacted me and resolved many of the issues, they sourced a parcel shelf, the missing trim and fixed a blown fuse. They also re valeted the car. There was still no fuel or offer of doing the cabin and engine air filters, but that's not the end of the world. Feeling more valued as a customer.

My Sales Guy at the Essex Car Company was very friendly guy with a lot of knowledge about the cars he is selling. When he didn't know something he out right said he wasn't sure rather than making something up which gave me more confidence in him and the company. There were a few bodywork problems with the car which we arranged would be fixed before I purchased the car. I have to say they did a wonderful job and I am very happy with my purchase and experience, I would recommend them to anyone looking to buy, they have a very good selection or BMW's, Audi's and Mercedes.

A pleasure to deal with the smiling happy salesman at Essex Car Company, unhurried, no pressure sales, an enjoyable experience buying a car. We went to look at a particular car which turned out to be not what we wanted. We were then left us to look around, after looking at several cars, we found something we liked, still no pressure but friendly advice when required, no hassle way to purchase a car - actually finished up driving away in our new car!! Not the plan but totally happy with a good decision! We would thoroughly recommend Essex Car Company as the best car dealership we have dealt with, including main dealers for premium makes of car. We first visited at 10am, on our salesman's advice , we went away to think it through and returned at 3pm after lunch and completed the sale.

James was a real professional and the car is perfect. We managed to get a wheel refurbed in the deal but never got any money off. As explained if the cars were not priced right on the internet they would have no calls and like everything in the internet it is all about price and value. I am having my car serviced there next month and they arranged my to have two tyres fitted for me at trade.

Purchased a Jaguar from ECC. Unfortunately after 1300 miles the vehicle developed an engine fault. They collected the vehicle, examined it and concluded that it had suffered a piston ring failure. The vehicle had a great service history so this could not have been predicted. They offered to fully recondition engine with 12 months warranty or return my money. I chose the latter and it was returned the following business day. You can buy with confidence from ECC knowing they will not mess you around if things do go wrong and that they will respect your consumer rights.

From the initial "just looking" it was hassle free, James was a great cheeky geezer that made you feel like nothing was too much trouble, I was then dealt with over the last couple of days with "H" he was great dealing with my requests.
